Yellow lilies 黄ゆり

Two diffrent type of lilies. In the east, lilies especially flower bulbs have been used as food and for medicine from the ancient times. It has started to cultivate lily's bulbs for food in the 17 century in Japan. It seems to be latter to use as ornaments in Japan. The taste is sweet but slightly bitter and melt in the mouth like boiled potatos after cooked. It takes to grow one bulb for 3 years! Now I understand how valuable it is. I am looking for it but I can not find it here.

百合根が食べたくなって、色々調べていたら、百合根は育てるのに3年かかるのだとか。高価なわけですね。
