もう、夏休みに入られた方もいらっしゃるようですね。スリランカもはっきりしない天気ですが、相変わらず、暑いです。
This is today's fish at the restaurant. Fried mackerel with Japanese herb - Shiso. Japanese herb - Shiso has an unique aroma and no Japanese hate this. : > When it is hot and less appetite in summer, its aroma encourages our appetite. The fresh mackerel is good to Sashimi, Grilled, Boiled, and Fried. Though it takes time to remove bones, it is tasty. It is popular fish in Japan, too.
さて、本日の紹介は、ムロ鯵の紫蘇揚げです。鯵は骨が多いので、下処理が大変ですが、味があって美味しいですよね。新鮮なものは、生で食べても、煮ても焼いても揚げても大変美味しいです!本日は、紫蘇と一緒に揚げました。
By the way, do you know the leaf under the fish? It is passion fruits' leaf. I heard the young leaves were used for salad in Sri Lanka. Some customers ate the leaves, too. Don't you think it is a nice collaboration of Japanese food and food from Sri Lanka?
ちなみに、魚の下に置いている葉は何かわかりますか?
パッションフルーツの若葉です。スリランカでは、パッションフルーツの若葉をサラダのような和え物にして食べるのだそうですよ。お客様の中でも、ご存知なのか、通の方は召し上がっていらっしゃいます。

Hi Sly pan. Matcha-salt is lovely combination with this. Our holiday was wonderful! We enjoyed a lot of Indonesian foods there. Always thinking about foods. :>
