We have fish set meal. It is different everyday since we decide the menu depends on the fish which we can get on that day. These are both Sardine with Japanese basil. Sardines available in Sri Lanka are large in size and the meat is thick and tasty. Small ones boiled with soy sauce can be eaten whole including bones and are healthy as well. It is a popular fish in Japan as well but the number of Sardine is getting small and becoming expensive. This is "deep fried sardine with basil" that I had for today's lunch. Though they look too large and I wondered if I could eat them, I could finish it all easily.
