TOKOROTEN 心太・心天

Today I would like to introduce one of Japanese food TOKOROTEN.
There is a lot of healthy food in Japan though it would be one of them. It is made from sea plants (the left on the picture) and contains 98-99% just water and no calories but food fibers. We add fish flakes, sesames, sea plants (green laver), soysauce and vinegar. This is the seasonal food　in Japan and it has been made for 1300 years. When we have no appetite for the heat in summer, TOKOROTEN slakes our thirst, makes feel cool and sour taste stimulates the appetite.　　We can enjoy it through a year in the tropical island, Sri Lanka.

天草を使って、ところてんを作りました！ご来店頂いたお客様に少しだけおすそ分けしました。色々調べていたら、ところてんは漢字で書くと、「心太・心天」と書くのだそうです。しかも、奈良時代から食べられていたとか！古くから食べられてきた物だったんですね～。よくこんな食べ物が作られていたなあと感心してしまいます。日本には、低カロリーの食べ物がたくさんありますよね。こんにゃくとか、海藻類を使ったおきゅうとや寒天など。もちろん、スリランカでは簡単に手に入りません。(天草やコンニャクイモに似たようなものはスリランカにありますが）　最近、スリランカは暑いので、こういったさっぱりとしたものが恋しくなります。

It is difficult to write all food in the menu for the restaurant and delivery. So some regular customers ask us the food not mentioned in the menu. For example, when they would like to eat both Tempura and Karaage chicken, we serve them together like a picture. Some customer asks us hot noodles instead of cold noodles. Some customer asks us Teriyaki chicken and Tempura. Please feel free to ask us about the menu. We would like to prepare the food on your request.

こんにちは！ここ1週間、コロンボでも雨が降るようになりました。ずっと雨が降らなかったので、恵みの雨です。少しは雨のお陰で涼しくなって欲しいと思います。
今日は、レストランでお召し上がりのお客様が、天ぷらとから揚げのセットを頼まれました（写真）。実は、これは、メニューには書いてありません。メニューに載せたいのですが、余白がなくて、全てを書き出すことが出来ません。最近は、常連のお客様は、「これと、これを食べたいんだけど・・・」とか、「から揚げは、メニューに無いけど、作ってもらえますか？」とお尋ねになります。メニューに無いものも、出すことができますので、遠慮なくお尋ね下さい。できるだけ、お客様のリクエストにお答えしたいと思っております。

Champon noodles 10.March onwards ちゃんぽん始めます

How are you everyone? It is getting hotter and hotter in Colombo. I'm afraid of coming April and May when the hottest season in Sri Lanka. Hotness reduce your appetite and make you weak. We would like to support your life in Sri Lanka by food!
We start serving Champon noodles from Wednesday 10 March 2010. There are vegetables seafood and pork on the soup noodles. It is very yummy!

こんにちは！皆様いかがお過ごしですか？スリランカは、日に日に暑くなってきました。ここ数週間、雨が降りませんので、土はかぱかぱ（水分を含んでいませんので）、日中はじりじり熱く（暑いより合っているかも！）、エアコンの部屋と外気との気温差で身体がおかしくなりそうです。
さて、今週の水曜日(3月10日）からちゃんぽんを始めることにしました！暑い時期で食欲が無い時期かもしれませんが、美味しい麺を食べて体力をつけて下さい！お待ちしております。ちゃんぽんは、期間限定です。

YAKISOBA (Fried Chinese noodles Japanese style) 焼そば

Yakisoba is one of Japanese foods. We are explaining 'Fried Chinese noodles' though it is a very Japanese food. You can order on our delivery service and take away or taste it at the restaurant. There are four different Yakisoba. You can choose chicken, pork, cuttlefish or just vegetable. I took a picture when I had Yakisoba for my lunch today.

当店でお出ししている焼そばです。時々、食べたくなって注文します。今日のお昼は焼きそばでした。お店で用意している種類は4種類。チキン、ポーク、いか、野菜です。以前にも書きましたが、ベジタリアンのお客様やポークを召し上がれないお客様がいらっしゃいますので、種類が増えました。デリバリーで注文して頂くこともできますし、レストランでお召し上がり頂くこともできます！
それにしても、日本にはたくさんの麺料理がありますよね。お客様から、ラーメンのリクエストがありましたので、出したいとは思うのですが・・・。私も、ラーメンは食べたいです！ちゃんぽんも、もうすぐお出しする予定です！お楽しみに！

Raining in the restaurant 雨粒でコラボ

This is not about leaking but the decoration! You will see the decoration soon after you entered the restaurant. This decoration is a collaboration with 4 year-old girl. Many adults have no attention but children are interested in it and they say 'Ah, rain drops!' We are happy to see they are smiling at rain drops and good foods. :>

ありがちな話ではありますが、雨漏りの話ではありません。レストランに入ると最初に目に付くのが、雨粒のデコレーションです。もう、長らく飾っているので、ご存知の方も多いと思います。
これは、4歳の女の子とのコラボレーションでできたものです。多くの大人は気にも留めませんが、子供たちはやっぱりすぐに反応しますね！
