We have wrote about Prawns in Sri Lanka before but would like to write about it again as it is very tasty!! Before we have opened the restaurant, we bought prawns a few kilo grams at the fish shop and enjoyed them with boiled and steamed at home. We think Sri Lanka is a paradise where we can enjoy a plenty of fresh fish! Very fresh!
We serve prawns as Tempura, Sushi, Boiled with vegetables, and so on. As Japanese food is used chopsticks, we have to prepare the foods in advance which means everyone can eat foods easily with chopsticks. For example, we peel the shell and help to eat easy with chopsticks. It is very tired work to say honestly, but it is necessary to make tasty foods. We can not skip its procedure!

さて、以前にも、スリランカの美味しい海老については、記事にしました。本当に、おいしー!レストランを始める前は、自宅に海老を数キロ買って、塩茹でや蒸し海老にしてひたすら手で皮をむいて食べるということも時々していましたねー。シンプルで美味しいんです!
さて、カフェジャパンでは、海老は様々なところで使われています。天ぷらはもちろんですが、お寿司、煮物、添え物などに。。そして、時々、尻尾だけではなくて、尻尾の付け根も食べずに残されるお客様がいらっしゃいます。当店では、皮を根元まで剥いていますから、尻尾だけ残せば大丈夫ですよー!結構面倒で気を使う下処理ですが、美味しく召し上がって頂くためには止められませんね。海老の尻尾まで召し上がって下さる通なお客様もいらっしゃいます。とっても嬉しいですね。
After remove the prawns shells, we fried and eat! It is like a snack and even children like them.
海老の足の部分は、天ぷらにして頂きますよ!意外と、お子様にも好評です。

I like tempura of prawn shell and tail. One of my favorite tempura bars in Tokyo serves tail tempura with green tee salt as starter dish, which is good for beer.
Do you drink beer? Thought you do not drink!
Anyway, tempura even tail and shells are good and fresh prawns make them more tasty.
I don't drink beer nor alcohol beverages in my home but do in restaurant or so, in other words, outside. Not much but appropriate volume of alcohol beverages makes taste of food better.
