Sri Lankan purple potato スリランカの紫芋

Do you know what it is?  It is a kind of potato but we are not sure what the name this is.  We have the same kind of potato in Japan and we call it `Purple potato`, therefore, we call it `purple potatos`, too.  A friend living in the country side gave us them.    We planed to use them for Miso soup but we do not lose the beauty of the colour, we decided to make potato jam for Japanese sweets.
Finally we made potato jam and made rice cake with potato jam.  Later we use them for miso soup and enjoyed their taste, too.   The potato itself has no strong taste though soft potato matches Miso soup, too.
Do you know the name of this kind of potato?
後日、味噌汁の具にもしてみましたが、味はそれほど癖がなく、食感を楽しめる芋でした。こういう芋類は、ぬるぬるするので、皮をむくのに気を遣いますが、美味しいからやめられませんね。

Happy New Year
A new restaurant has come to my neighbor, of which name is Hakata Motsu-nabe Yamaya.
They serve Motsu-nabe and serve free of charge at the tables Karashi-takana and Mentaiko produced by them, two of which are sold at cashier for souvenir.
One day I had a lunch menu, Game-ni, which was so good. May I suggest Game-ni as a part of lunch menu at Cafe Japan ?

Happy new year, Slypan!
I read an article about Yamaya in Tokyo. In Fukuoka,
there are many restaurants which is serving free Takana and Mentaiko, therefore, it is not a big surprise but in Tokyo,
You may not know but there are some ingredients in Gameni not available in Sri Lanka. We make Gameni only on some occasions.
