The dolls were decorated at the restaurant for the traditional festival Hinamatsuri on 3 March. We decorate every year soon after we finish other custom Mame Maki- 4 February to wish children's happiness especially daughters. For a month, we decorate them with enjoying and we clean up by 4 March. It was a hard day on 3 March since we had to clean them up after we close the restaurant. During 3days after we had holidays, we made special Japanese sweets for the guests and we shared with them.
On 3 March, we made Sakura Mochi covered with Cherry leaf which seasoned with salt. Sweet slight pink sticky rice and red bean jam is matching with salty leaf. And we made Arare-Rice crackers. We made sweet for children but we can make salty as well. Homemade rice cracker is fresh and the crunchy sounds makes more tasty! We are very happy to share these foods with guests and many foreign customers enjoyed them.

Wow, how pretty those dolls are!! Your family may have a lot of female members. I miss these Japanese sweets, which were so good to eat at the place far away from Japan.
Thank you, Sly pan. How are you? I know many Japanese are missing seasonal Japanese sweets. That's why we can enjoy them more when we go back to the country.
